Ben Wyeth - Background
Although only in his mid twenties Ben Wyeth has a wealth of experience working as a practising photographer. In 2003 he graduated with honours from a photojournalism degree course at Swansea Institute. Since then he spent several years working primarily within the news and sports areas of photography with several agencies.
His work was regularly published under regional and national news titles including The Times, The Telegraph, and The Guardian. Alongside his work in these fields Ben continued to supply high quality editorial photo essays to International travel magazines and supplements. He has exhibited widely over the last five years including shows in London, Brussels and Wales.
Alongside his photographic work he has also ran a magazine, Tonnau, as well as setting up and administering an international charity, The Hikkaduwa Tsunami Fund. In 2008 he was awarded the Knowledge Exploitation Fund from the Welsh Assembly. This year he has spent six months working in a leading Cardiff studio and has now returned to freelance work allowing him greater creative freedom.
Ben continues to live and practise in his adopted home of Swansea, South Wales.

Despite having travelled extensively over the past few years I continue to get excited by the unspoilt environment and dramatic coastline the Gower, South Wales offers.”
